I see them

I see them walking the streets with their eyes on the ground, following the shadow that the sun casts from behind their backs. I see them walking to the destination determined by something else than their hearts. I see them walking in the dark because they are afraid of the light. I see them crashing a snail on the ground when they run to catch the bus and riding through the town without seeing who is on the bus with them or who is driving. I see them spending eight ours of their day in an unhappy place, smiling the polite smile without the heart, the smile they were taught at age six. I see them turning their eyes away when they see something ugly, something poor or something disturbing. I see them walking away without helping.
I see them being cold and calculative. I see them being strict about the unwritten rules. I see their eyes filled with emptiness and hollowness, I feel the cold breeze when they walk past me. I see them avoiding their neighbors. I see them confused when a stranger says hi to them. I see them being ready to feed you to the sharks. I see them concerned about protecting what is ‘theirs’ and not giving a shit about what is ‘someone else’s’. I see them being caught in the past and not letting go. I see them constantly reminding themselves about the bad.
I see them trying to unhappy the happiness. I see them being oblivious.
I see them trashing the nature, I see them spending millions in a piece of road that is unnecessary.
I see them talking behind someone’s back and acting up in front of them.
I see them changing their opinion without ever truly having one. I see them lying, cheating and avoiding the truth. I see them going in to the doctors office for a headache and walking away with a pill that has a headache as a side-effect. I see them going into houses instead of homes. I see them waiting for someone else to tell them what to do or where to go next. I see them getting an education they don't want. I see them stabbing the back of the friend they are hugging. I see them wearing the same shade of gray. I see them making empty promises and being sad when a promise is broken to them.
I see them blackmailing and playing games. I see them holding grudge. I see them trying to blame someone else for their mistakes. I see them making a big deal out of nothing and turning a big deal into nothing.
I see them shouting and not listening.
I see them gossiping. I see them not being tolerant. I see them being alone. I see them not understanding the connection between mind, body and nature. I see them getting back at each other and not forgiving. I see them faking. You see them as being shy; I see them as thinking they’re just better off without you. I see them having the negative set of mind. I see them thinking ‘it could be worse so I better settle for this’. I see them being angry at the traffic jam caused by themselves. I see them buying everything they want – clothes, power, friends, love ones. I see them not knowing what love is.
I see them. I see them and it scares me for I am them.
I see them in me. I am You. You are me.
If I don’t change, will You?

Break the Silence, Save a Life

The schools have started again and hundreds of first graders are out there again. Bullying is still, even in our smart society, a huge issue in schools. How to teach kids about bullying, what it is, how much it hurts and how it affects people even school is way in the past..?

A teacher had a pretty effective way to approach the issue. She gave the children, a blank peace of white paper, each had one. The teacher asked the kids to look closely at the paper, how clean and white it is and then to make it a ball, twist it, turn it, fold it, kick it and step on it - no tearing apart though. After the beating up was done, she asked the class to each open their paper as straight as possible and say "I'm sorry". Then she told the class to look at the paper how grumbled, hurt and dirty it was and that that would be exactly what the bullied has gone through. And even though you say "I'm sorry", it did not and will not make the marks go away.

Feeding the world with pesticides

" Companies like, The Dow Chemical Company, DuPont and Monsanto produce some of the deadliest pesticides on the planet. These pesticides are slowly killing people everyday and damaging our environment for generations to come.

In the world of GMOs, it's not about actually "feeding the world". He who controls the food supply eventually controls everything. Monsanto is hell bent on world domination, not world nourishment. Roundup herbicide, for example, kills crop soils and encourages the development of pesticide-resistant superweeds. In the terrain of human biology, much the same ramification of death and destruction is happening with the widespread abuse of antibiotics and the alarming rise of MRSA and other "superbugs." Exposure among amphibians and other vertebrate animals to Monsanto's Roundup herbicide has been shown, for the very first time, to actually induce physical changes to the shapes of these animals' bodies. Published in the journal Ecological Applications, the new study reveals once again the incredible hormone-altering power of Roundup, and how even minute exposure to this highly-toxic chemical brew can have disastrous health consequences.

"This discovery highlights the fact that pesticides [...] can have unintended consequences for species that are not the pesticides' target. [W]e are learning that [pesticides and herbicides] can have a wide range of surprising effects by altering how hormones work in the bodies of animals." said Rick Relyea, a professor of biological sciences at the University of Pittsburgh's (Pitt) Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences and director of Pitt's Pymatuning Laboratory of Ecology.

Naturally, the use of pesticides, herbicides or other toxic chemicals on our food supply should not be allowed - right? Yet, a chemical-producing corporation, like Dow - the creator of 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (a highly toxic pesticide/herbicide) is allowed to legally poison every person on a daily basis. In fact, 2,4-D is the most widely used herbicide in the world, and the third most commonly used in North America. This deadly ingredient was heavily used in the production of Agent Orange - sprayed all over Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Pesticides, like 2,4-D can be stored in your colon - where they will slowly start to poison you to death. For example, believe it or not, when you eat a non-organic apple - you are consuming around 30 different toxic pesticides that have been sprayed on that piece of fruit. The highest pesticide levels exist on strawberries, apples, carrots, celery, spinach, grapes and cucumbers.

The "science" practiced today is a science of domination and control, it has come to mean corruption, dishonesty, greed and death. It is almost never carried out for humanitarian purposes to benefit humankind. Even the entire intellectual property "ownership" system of patents and trademarks is set up to grant corporate monopolies over innovation, thereby denying the people access to such innovations. Intellectual property laws have been twisted and exploited by corporate giants to hijack the innovation process and use it to crush competition.

Science is killing us. As a race, we are committing suicide by allowing science to dominate our medicine, agriculture and military industries. To the degree that we allow scientists to unleash their dangerous experiments onto the world without legitimate testing -- and no, flu shot vaccines are never scientifically tested for long-term safety -- we only accelerate the digging of our own graves. If we don't learn to restrain the blind ambitions of arrogant scientists who are all too easily enticed by the chance to roll the dice in their "let's play God" games, the blind pursuit of science without wisdom will only lead to our total destruction "

Sapceship Earth

Check this I’m sick of the tricks, sick of the purists. For ages we misfits not talking bout what day it is. The world has made us into capitalistic fatalists, I looking around this place but can’t find the people that I came with.

Will all the real truly free people please stand up, tell me somebody out there still hasn’t given up. Is this living of ours living up to the vision or does this revolution stop at your coffee cup, huh,

Fuck this, I’m sick of the shit, sick of the business, sick of the world tending to be my witness, sick of pretending to be this identity hypothesis, force my metamorphosis, throw my caution to the wind with total thoughtlessness.

I and I is a hungry soul, society gone bad but we need not fall so face the demons stealing into these maddening days, find them in the minds eye, take aim and blow them away.

We got to purify, from the inside out.

Check the bass, check the middle, check the treble but lets take this music to another level. We’re like pebbles dropping into the water causing ripples for our sons and daughters, there’s no borders, just all of us shouting orders.

Today it’s spiritual this, spiritual that, tell me you heard this: Presidents talking about a higher purpose. If they’re TALKING about this shit we’ve got to be LIVING it in earnest, become impervious, so the holy wars will never hurt us.

One love, one god, one world, one something.. but loads of words that don’t mean nothing. You can’t fool me with fantasy circus circling semblances of sacred service, only want to know what is your holy purpose.

I and I is a fighting soul, I am one man but I am you all, so spread the wealth, slake the worlds thirst but know we can only save the world when we say ourselves first.

We got to purify, from the inside out.

So yes be angry, yes be mad, yes be shocked and awed but whatever the fuck you do don’t be bored. Yes the beat don’t stop this epoch’s not the end, cities chock-a-block but still got oxygen, still got, something to fight for, die for, something to live my life for and I intend to be one of the survivors, but that’s is cos, the buck stops with us, no ifs no buts, no matter who you cuss. If your not on the bus it wont be enough to save you, if you don’t reach the ocean the tide wont turn in your favour and all those leaving planet earth will be like ‘See ya later’….

We got to purify, from the inside out.

The power of giving (book by Azim Jamal & Harvey McKinnon)

Giving creates a symbiotic relationship; it benefits both parties. The recipients benefit from your gift. And you benefit personally by virtue of having been a giver. Sometimes it is easy to see the immediate benefits to those you help. Other times, the ultimate benefits of your action may occur many years in the future. What ever your gift, your time, your money, or effort will have a positive impact. The other side of the equation is the benefits to you. They may be visible and immediate, or they may be intangible and delayed. You may not even recognize them as benefits. You may gain a tax deduction. You may feel great about your ability to help. You may receive heartfelt thanks. What ever form the benefits take, giving brings meaning to your life. When you give, you have a chance to make an incredible impact during and often beyond your life. And when you give without expecting a return, you reap even more benefits.

True giving begins with love. Love is the most powerful force in the world, and when we love, we are in touch with our basic and most fundamental human need. Love is something all people need, no matter their background, culture or faith. Many people grow up in difficult circumstances, and almost everyone at one time or another has suffered emotional wounds, dashed hopes, or the loss of love. All people are complicated, and as they try to make their way in the world, sometimes they offend you, hurt you, ignore you, or lack compassion for you. You have probably caused the same emotional pain to others, sometimes unintentionally, sometimes not. This is why giving the gifts of compassion, understanding, and unconditional love is so important. It helps to break the negative cycle in relationships and leads to a revival of love and commitment because when people receive love, they learn to give love. Almost every week you'll hear the word love used in ways that distort its real meaning and power. Remember; "love is a verb." It's not passive. When you give love, you receive love. Real love is is an example of how giving and receiving are so intertwined. True love is selfless. Its free and liberated. Love is timeless, and deep love continues to live even after our death. Forgiving people for past mistakes and hurts is also a way to express love, and forgiveness is a wonderful thing to give. Like you, other people are only imperfect humans.

There is much sadness in the world, but there are also unlimited ways to make a positive difference. You can gain tremendous benefits from giving. Among these benefits are new friends, a feeling of security, better health, happiness and a sense of pride. You are at your best when you make a difference and contribute. You need only so much as an individual to be happy. Therefore, to live your potential and create abundance, you need to do something larger than yourself - thus the need to give. What can you give?

Thank You

To you who told me to just 'paint it out, what ever it is'
To you who gave me courage
To you who reminded me that missing someone or somewhere doesn't have to kill you
To you who came to me even though we were not supposed to meet
To you who did not care
To you who did not know
To you who talked with me about life
To you who screamed with me
To you who took my mind away to something else
To you who called and asked me to join for a cup of coffee
To you who gave me days off work
To you who laughed out loud
To you who wasn't afraid to be silent
To you i never met before
To you who came to me for help

To all you fifteen people listed above and many more, thank you for being there. Even without realizing the influence you had.

Chief Seattle, 1800's

The President in Washington sends word that he wishes to buy our land. But how can you buy or sell the sky? The land? The idea is strange to us. If we do not own the freshness of the air and the sparkle of the water, how can you buy them?

Every part of the earth is sacred to my people. Every shining pine needle, every sandy shore, every mist in the dark woods, every meadow, every humming insect. All are holy in the memory and experience of my people. We know the sap which courses through the trees as we know the blood that courses through our veins. We are part of the earth and it is part of us. The perfumed flowers are our sisters. The bear, the deer, the great eagle, these are our brothers. The rocky crests, the dew in the meadow, the body heat of the pony, and man all belong to the same family.

The shining water that moves in the streams and rivers is not just water, but the blood of our ancestors. If we sell you our land, you must remember that it is sacred. Each glossy reflection in the clear waters of the lakes tells of events and memories in the life of my people. The water's murmur is the voice of my father's father.
The rivers are our brothers. They quench our thirst. They carry our canoes and feed our children. So you must give the rivers the kindness that you would give any brother.

If we sell you our land, remember that the air is precious to us, that the air shares its spirit with all the life that it supports. The wind that gave our grandfather his first breath also received his last sigh. The wind also gives our children the spirit of life. So if we sell our land, you must keep it apart and sacred, as a place where man can go to taste the wind that is sweetened by the meadow flowers.

Will you teach your children what we have taught our children? That the earth is our mother? What befalls the earth befalls all the sons of the earth. This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.

Your destiny is a mystery to us. What will happen when the buffalo are all slaughtered? The wild horses tamed? What will happen when the secret corners of the forest are heavy with the scent of many men and the view of the ripe hills is blotted with talking wires? Where will the thicket be? Gone! Where will the eagle be? Gone! And what is to say goodbye to the swift pony and then hunt? The end of living and the beginning of survival.

When the last red man has vanished with this wilderness, and his memory is only the shadow of a cloud moving across the prairie, will these shores and forests still be here? Will there be any of the spirit of my people left?

We love this earth as a newborn loves its mother's heartbeat. So, if we sell you our land, love it as we have loved it. Care for it, as we have cared for it. Hold in your mind the memory of the land as it is when you receive it. As we are part of the land, you too are part of the land. This earth is precious to us. It is also precious to you.

All or Nothing

First I thought all or nothing is a bad thing and life sould not be a battle like that. But it is... It is all or nothing.. There is no half-way freedom - you're either a prisoner or a free man. Either you eat or you starve to death. Either you love or you don't. You're life is about you, what makes you happy, you follow that path. No one ever goes to a place where they know they can't be happy or where they get hurt, you avoid it. When you do what you want and what you love, you do it with all or nothing mindset. You make it happen, you dedicate yourself to that, you don't just let it go, you want to fight for it. To me, All or nothing is not using the ESC-button when it doesn't work, it's the opposite. It's putting yourself on the line, jumping off the edge, taking the leap. You have so little time here so why hold back and play it safe. "I want to, but.." well, then no you don't. If you want to, if you love, you make it happen. There are no "but´s" in doing, doubting isn't part of wanting to make it happen and dedicating yourself to your life.

Live your life with everything you have. Take the leap. Go and say you love someone if you do, quit your job and travel if you want to, move out of that place where you're not happy with yourself, say yes or no - lose the i don't knows and maybes when it's about 'do you want to', there will always be a way to make it happen, open your eyes and see it. And yes, you're going to make mistakes but you are going to do those anyways, playing it safe doesn't take them away. Remember that you are the one who loses the game if you don't truly play it. Play your game, live your life. Don't fall in to the pit of misery, unhappiness and decisions made for you. You make yourself happy, no one else can do that for you. You can be happy with someone but the ultimate happiness is you in you.
